Flipped Learning

Catlin is a blended learning coach and education consultant and was named Teacher of the Year in 2010 in Sonoma County, where she taught for 16 years. Flipping learning with video content has several advantages. Teachers can replicate themselves providing on-demand explanations, instructions or modeling. Video content puts students in control of the pace of their learning and can be accessed anytime for students who need to hear instruction again or for students who missed class. Focus on pedagogical design using video by learning how to design a flipped lesson that encourages exploration and inquiry, transfers information online and extends learning with student-centered activities. Leave this exciting day of learning with a blended lesson that uses video content strategically.
