Gaming Meets EDU: A Beginner’s Guide to Esports in K-12

She is a Level 2 Google Certified Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Discovery Education Digital Leader and former educator from the Chicagoland area. A Teach for America Corps Alumni, Jennifer’s passion is in educational technology and digital equity.

Build your background knowledge on esports, the latest organized team sport to break into education. Gain an understanding of what types of games are being played professionally versus in schools, what it takes to put together an esports team in K-12, what high school esports curriculum exists (it’s a free STEM.org Accredited Educational Experience) and a view of the professional and higher education esports landscape.

Fee: $19

Time: 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. CST
